Cargo Secure Limited was appointed to effect repairs to casework housing a 31 ton Dairy Plant Machine that had been damaged en route to Israel. The dimensions of the case were 11.35m x 2.8m x 3.5m.Cargo Secure arranged for the case to be moved undercover into a transit shed at the port of Felixstowe. Once undercover we removed the damaged sides of the case to allow access to the machine, which had been vacuum packed in foil. As the integrity of the vacuum sealing was in doubt it was essential to find a company specialising in this area.
It was necessary to repack and reseal the machine. This having been successfully accomplished to the satisfaction of the Cargo Surveyor in attendance we then reconstructed the case around the machine. Panels were constructed at our workshop and transported to the port.
The final phase involved sheeting the top section of the case to give it additional protection on the sea voyage. The case was labelled for its port of destination using custom made labels and removed to the quay for export.
